What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, serve similar purposes. They are used, for example, to remember a choice you made or to measure how pages are used.
How ESGreen uses cookies
- Before you make a choice, the site uses only what is necessary for it to work and to protect the forms.
- Analytics and marketing load only after you accept them, in the cookie notice or in the preferences panel.
- Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage and is valid for 12 months. When you accept analytics or marketing, a strictly necessary cookie relays that choice to the server. After that period, or when a change to this policy affects the optional categories, we ask you again.
- Accessibility: the Perto Digital accessibility button, in the corner of the screen, is available on every page, before and after you make your choice, because its purpose is to make the site accessible. It stores your preferences in the browser's local storage and does not set cookies on the ESGreen domain.
- Videos only load when you click to play.
- Advertising: the site does not use advertising cookies.
Categories
- Strictly necessary (always active)
- They make the site work, store your cookie choice and protect the forms against automated submissions. They cannot be turned off. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Analytics (optional)
- Google Analytics 4. Shows which pages are visited, where visits come from and how the pages are used, so we can improve the site. Legal basis: consent.
- Marketing (optional)
- RD Station Marketing. Links your visits to a contact request you have already made, identifies the source of visits and personalizes our communications. Legal basis: consent.
- Accessibility (always available)
- Perto Digital accessibility plugin. It offers accessibility profiles, text and color adjustments, a text reader, translation into Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) with a 3D avatar, and other features. It stores your preferences in the browser's local storage, to keep them from one page to the next, and sends Perto Digital the page address, a count of the features used and technical connection data, such as the IP address, without your name, email or other registration data. Some features, such as the text simplifier and image alt text, send the page text or the addresses of its images to Perto Digital for processing, but only when you turn them on. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Embedded content (when you click)
- YouTube videos, loaded from youtube-nocookie.com only when you click play. From that moment on, Google may store identifiers in your browser, under its own policy. Legal basis: consent, given by clicking play.

How to change your choice
- On the site: click “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page and turn each optional category (analytics and marketing) on or off. When you turn off a category, the tool stops loading from the next page on.
- In your browser: you can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. When you do, the cookie notice appears again.
- With the providers: Google offers an add-on to disable Google Analytics on all websites (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). In RD Station Marketing, withdrawing your marketing consent in “Cookie preferences” stops the tracking of your visits; to request deletion of your contact record, write to dpo@esgreen.com.br.
Deleting analytics and marketing cookies does not prevent you from using the site. Clearing your browser data also undoes the settings made with the accessibility button.
Personal data
Data processed through cookies is governed by the Privacy Policy, which sets out the processors, international transfers, retention periods and your rights. Questions: dpo@esgreen.com.br.
Changes
We update this policy when we add or remove a tool. The version and date appear at the top. If the change affects the optional categories, we ask for your choice again.
